Driving investment, the ODD way
We are beyond excited to announce that ODDfest has joined forces with Europe’s largest angel network, Finnish Business Angels Network FiBAN, to bring creatives, creative angels, and investors closer together, and spark real investment into the creative industries.
Together, we are launching the development of a 12-month Creative Angels program for 2026 connecting angel investors with scalable companies across film, music, fashion, design, gaming, and other IP-driven sectors. Its purpose is to open capital pathways for creative companies, strengthen investor competence, and grow a thriving creative economy through curated gatherings, masterclasses, pitch sessions, working groups, and four major events connected to key moments within the Finnish creative landscape like ODDfest and Slush.
To commemorate this initiative and kick off our joint venture, we are hosting a Creative Angels Dinner on Wednesday, 10th of December where we’ll celebrate the year-long program and begin the work to surface real needs, inspire investment, showcase bold companies, and accelerate creative growth.

Kaleidoscope is coming back, and at a true Helsinki gem at that
The peer-driven music conversation powered by ODDfest is back for round three on Tuesday, 9th of December, and this time around at a true Helsinki gem, Ambient Bar, nestled in the Arabia135 creative quarter.
Once more, Kaleidoscope brings artists and industry minds together for a night of open, honest dialogue and shared experiences that dig into the realities behind creative work.
Hosted by renowned record producer, sound engineer, and music industry consultant, Jonas Verwijnen, and the fresh CEO of Finland’s largest music conference Music x Media, Lotta Savolainen, the evening blends perspectives from Finland’s music scene with insights shaped by international practice.
Not a panel, not a lecture, Kaleidoscope offers real talk and open community activation. PA system and mics on-site provided by Muusikkojen liitto.

Surfing our way to an ODDly Creative Lunch

ODDfest together with Creative Lunch Club are inviting you once more to brighten up with good food and even better company on Friday, 12th of December at one of Helsinki’s latest surf and turf restaurants, äffä.
Äffä is a vibrant 18-seat lunch studio in Kallio, founded by chef-restaurateur Miki Puikkonen, known to many from his work on Masterchef Finland and Diili. Inspired by surf destinations from Peru to the Philippines, it serves colorful, feel-good dishes that pair creativity with relaxed California-style vibes.
