ODDfest has been awarded a €200,000 Major Cultural Projects grant by the Alfred Kordelin Foundation.

This two-year funding supports our work in building ODDfest into a national flagship for the creative economy; developing new structures between culture and business, and creating lasting models that extend beyond individual projects.

The Alfred Kordelin Foundation promotes breakthroughs in society, supporting Finnish science, art, and public education with more than six million euros annually. Established in 1918, the foundation is one of the oldest grant foundations in Finland.

Through Major Cultural Projects, Alfred Kordelin Foundation funds ambitious, breakthrough-oriented initiatives that address societal challenges through art, science, and public enlightenment.

We’re welcoming a new recurring event format: ODDspace Open Doors, a bi-weekly gathering where we invite our community to come enjoy the creative hub in good company.

For the first round, we are joined by one of our latest residents, fashion designer Rolf Ekroth. Founder of his independent namesake label, Ekroth is known for championing utilitarian design, Finnish nostalgia, and sustainably produced clothing.

At Open Doors, he’ll share his journey into fashion, how he built his brand, and what it takes to keep it alive through challenging times.

With lineup going live and the event week approaching, ODDfest 2026 Early Bird tickets are coming to an end. Prices will increase on April 17.

A few weeks ago, we announced that we’d found our new home in Vallila where we’re building a 600m2 creative hub—yes, we got even more space now—to better advance our long-term goals of strengthening the Finnish creative economy.
